2007 Golf Tournament and Dinner Fundraiser

My son, Matthew and I enjoyed the event and the extensive network of friends and family certainly did Bobby proud based on the organization and turnout.

I mentioned to you that Matt works at the Publix (32 hrs a week) at Hiatus and Taft in Pembroke Pines and goes to school (BCC) full-time. I did not realize the strong connection to the Publix family based on my initial involvement via Cathy. I became involved in “Healing Hearts” based on my belief that it was the right thing to do.

I truly feel blessed and honored to have been a part of such a wonderful event. All of you offered your friendship and made me feel so welcomed into “the family” that Healing Hearts has become! I would love to get together for lunch whenever you all are free and I guess we need to start planning the next event? Right???
You and your incredible family have taken your personal tragedy and turned it into an opportunity to help others in need. You have touched and will continue to touch so many with the best and most unique gift in the world… you.

It's 11pm....I just got home from the dinner...Res, I can't tell you how much it meant to me to be a part of such an amazing event. I had the BEST day...I haven't laughed so much in one day! People really are innately good hearted, I love being a part of an event that shows such a coming together of people. Everyone was so friendly, I felt like I knew EVERYONE...by the end of the night I had made so many new friends. We all shared in something we all passionately felt. We came together, we ALL had fun, and we all shared in sorrow. I hope you and your family can see how much love, compassion, and genuine respect so many people feel for you and your family. I truly believe Bobby was on that stage with you with a swelled chest full of pride...and I know it might sound weird but my heart dropped when I heard Nick win the 50/50. Like Bobby DEFINETLY did that for his Lil' brother. I know its dumb, but i so believe in that. that they have that kind of presence. I believe my brother does too. It comforts me. I hope it comforted Nick tonight.

It touched my heart to take a step back and REALLY take it all in...I mean the enormity of it all. It's sad that most of the time it takes a tragedy to see it, but its comforting to know its there when you need it. I had goose bumps when we went to the banquet room to unload. I took one step into that room and had to stop for a moment to catch my breath. That's when the enormity of it really hit me. It was an amazing feeling. I felt so honored to be a part of it. I've known you for a long time ...you've seen me through some not so good times, and you did it with an open heart. You are an amazing person, Bob, and I am so glad you are my friend. xo

Well, you guys pulled it off! I can't express to you enough how well your dream came to reality as your event deeply touched over 800 people including Dottie and I.

I have not felt the pain your family has endeared however, I don't know if I would of had the foresight to handle it the way you and your family has. I can't say enough about Michele and Nick as you and Diane have a wonderful family that includes Bobby as you will ever allow him to leave your family.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your life as well as honoring me by asking me to be on your Board. Everyone has been talking about Friday night.

It's incredible to see all the families who were Blessed by your vision to Heal all these Broken Hearts.

This event was amazing! I thought we had a great team and everyone worked well together. It was such a rewarding experience and to see so many people in attendance for such a great cause. Thanks for the opportunity to work with such a terrific team! I felt privileged to be a part of it.

I agree with Scott on the opportunity of us making great friends. It is amazing how we all were not familiar with each other at the beginning and we grew as friends as time went on. I felt very comfortable from the very beginning working with all of you. Thanks Bob for putting us together!

I am a parent of a 3 year boy, and he means the world to me, as many parents always say. I cannot imagine being without him, so when you spoke of your son…and the hospital room…it made me cry and hurt. It affected the entire room, we were all sniffling, and I kept wiping my face with all the tears. I just can’t imagine the pain you and all those other parents went through. I am glad you guys are doing something that spins your gears forward, because unfortunately, there are so many parents out there that do need help after such a big loss. I cannot tell you How Proud of all of You.The day before at the meeting we were all talking about the weather and how this has to happen. A double Rainbow appeared with a space.We weren't going to have that and it filled in. I knew this day would be Perfect.
Everyone was amazing from the board the vendors the volunteers the golfers. Everyone that walked by the tables I spoke to were Happy to help in anyway that they could .I was watching the bids and was happy to see how in a time like this people were generous loving and caring.
Bob the speech and presentation once again you your family was Awesome.You know that God was in control and again the Strength of God was with you all. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this. It helped me and if I can ever help whether its stuffing envelopes phone calls anything please let me know. May Gods Strength.
