Dear Bob and Diane,

There are no words to describe last evening: the warmth, the spirit and most importantly the love. Your beautiful son must have looked on with pride at his family who gave completely of themselves to show undying love for him and for others with a broken heart.

The portrait is magnificent. In the early hours as the morning as the sun peeped through the cracks in the blind, I felt that it almost breathed. It takes me back to a happier and fuller time when we were all together. It will serve as a reminder of the gifts that I have been given and of the responsibility ahead.
